Located in downtown Orlando, Florida Hospital Orlando is the main Florida Hospital campus in Central Florida and uses the latest technology to treat more than 32,000 inpatients and 53,600 outpatients annually. This 902-bed, acute-care community hospital also serves as a major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America.

Unit Description:
On our 8 Tower - Multi-System/Vascular Progressive Care Unit we have 39 private beds and all patients are on 24 hour remote telemetry. Nurses on this floor may care for patients with diagnosis that include, but are not limited to, the following: anemia, chest pain, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cerebral vascular accident, drug overdose, pneumonia, syncope, vascular insufficiencies, and various post-ops.

The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4 with assistance from patient care technicians. There is an assistant nurse manager or charge nurse available for each shift. The unit also has a trained monitor technician 24 hours a day and health unit coordinators to complete orders and answer phones for the nursing staff. A Nurse educator and clinical nurse specialist keep the staff up to date with new technology, procedures, medications, etc.

Job Description:
• Schedule: Full time (72 hours a pay period), Days (7a-7p), with every other weekend.
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of recent hospital expeirence required. Progressive Care / Step-Down ICU experience preferred. Will consider RNs with Medical/Surgical or Telemetry experience and offer training to Progressive Care.
• Licensure/Certifications: Must have current Registered Nurse Florida licensure or actively pursuing reciprocity from another state. BLS required; ACLS and CCRN preferred.

Position: Registered Nurse
Unit: Neuro ICU
Hours: Full-Time, 72 hours per pay period.
Knowledge & Skill Required: 1-3 years of recent acute-care hospital experience as a Registered Nurse required; Neuro, ICU and telemetry experience preferred. We will train for telemetry if needed.
Education, Licensure & Certifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must hold a Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida, or actively be pursuing reciprocity from another state. Basic Life Support certification required; CNRN and ACLS a plus!

The Neuro Critical Care Unit is a 16 bed acute care unit. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:2. The patient population consists primarily of surgical patients, including spinal and brain surgeries, hemorrhagic pathologies, brain attack patients, medical neurological pathologies and seizures.

· Neuro specific education and training programs; professional certification reimbursement program
