Clinical Nurse Manager for Oncology & 8 Bed Outpatient Infusion Center

Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse with global responsibility for the quality and continuity of patient care for specific age groups indentified by the standards of care. Nurse Manager provides leadership in the delivery of care and nursing practice within the clienical unit. Nurse Manager participates in unit employee selection through interviewing and the hiring process. Directs and evaluates all personnel according to hospital, nursing and unit philosophy and objectives. Nurse Manager is a role model and resource person guiding staff in the development of skills and capabilities. Nurse Manager develops unit activities that support the elements of extending excellence. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. BCLS certification
For PACU RNs ACLS and /or PALS is required

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

Articulates comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and specialty nursing theory and practice for all age groups.
Computer knowledge and skills

Education and Experience Required:

Graduate of nursing school

Preferred Education and Experience:

Demonstrate experience in the clinical setting related to area of specialty

Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:

Certified registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered nurse professional

Our 4th floor PCU is a 39 bed unit and has a 4:1 RN/pt. ratio with a PCT. This unit specializes in brain attack, neuro, syncope, renal, GI, and surgical patients. Basic EKG interpretation required.

Qualified RN’s may be eligible for a sign-on bonus – for full time positions only.

Job Requirements:

One year of recent Progressive Care experience required
Neuro experience preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Must be a graduate of a school of nursing
