Our multi-system PCU on 5 West is a 35 bed unit with a standard 5:1 RN/pt. ratio with a PCT. This unit specializes in pneumonia, asthma (no vents), COPD and cardiac arrhythmia patients. Basic EKG interpretation required.


Qualified RN’s may be eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance – full time positions only.

Clinical Staffing Resources (CSR) Department provides supplemental staffing to the Critical Care, Med Surg, and limited ED areas. Floating gives RN the extraordinary opportunity to work on a variety of units with different specialties and levels of care.

CSR floats RNs to Critical Care (Multisystem ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary ICU, Neuro Critical Care, Cardio-VascularIII, Cardiovascular PCU, Cardiac Intervention Unit, Neuro Medical PCU, Neuro Surgical PCU, Multisystem PCU, MedSurg PCU, and Med Surg specialties of multispecialties (variety of diagnoses admitted from ED), Renal/Urology/Transplant (kidney, pancreatic and liver), Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Orthopedics and Rehab.

If an RN is new to Florida Hospital but not sure which unit they want to work, CSR gives the RN a chance to work different units to find the perfect fit for themselves.

Job Description:
The RN is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Position: Registered Nurse
Unit: Neuro ICU
Hours: Full-Time, 72 hours per pay period.
Knowledge & Skill Required: 1-3 years of recent acute-care hospital experience as a Registered Nurse required; Neuro, ICU and telemetry experience preferred. We will train for telemetry if needed.
Education, Licensure & Certifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must hold a Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida, or actively be pursuing reciprocity from another state. Basic Life Support certification required; CNRN and ACLS a plus!

The Neuro Critical Care Unit is a 16 bed acute care unit. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:2. The patient population consists primarily of surgical patients, including spinal and brain surgeries, hemorrhagic pathologies, brain attack patients, medical neurological pathologies and seizures.

Facilitates the implementation and activities of clinical trials for patients participating in pharmaceutical company, NCI Cooperative Group, in-house, and other network trials for FHCI physician investigators. REQUIRED: FL RN license with 6 years experience, Chemo Certified with 3 years of current oncology experience.

PREFERRED: Completion of Clinical Research Professional exam given by ACRP or SOCRA. Certification in oncology nursing for RNs, OCN for those responsible for adult patients, or CPON for those responsible for pediatric patients.
