Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the License Practical Nurse (LPN) provides fundamental physical and psychological nursing care to patients as part of the multidisciplinary team in accordance with the hospital s mission, physician and patient/s expectations. The License Practical Nurse (LPN) shall be responsible and accountable for making decisions that are based upon the individual s educational preparation and experience in nursing. Job Requirements: Maintains clinical competency. (Required) Participation in activities which benefit the nursing profession (Preferred) Special skills, abilities, knowledge in assigned areas (Preferred) Current LPN State of Flor ida License (Required) BLS condition of employment (Required) ACLS within 90 days of employment (Required for ED, ICU, PCU) PALS/ENPC within 90 days of employment (Required for ED, Pediatrics and Post Partum) NRP within 90 days of employment (Required for Labor & Delivery, Pediatrics) CPI within 90 days of employment (Required for Lake Placid ED, SBCU) Crisis Management within 90 days of employment (Required for ED - Sebring and Wauchula) IV Certification within 90 days of employment
