Unit Description:
Altamonte Emergency Department:
Our Emergency Department has 37 private rooms and bathrooms with flat screen, interactive televisions in each room. All beds have cardiac monitoring capabilities. We are a level 2 Emergency Department with our patient care areas designed and equipped to care for all medical and surgical emergencies affecting of all ages - neonate to the geriatric population. Patient Safety is our priority and the team consists of RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Technicians (CNAs) and Health Unit Coordinators. Flexible shifts available. The patient care delivery system is a nurse partnership model based on acuity.

The RN is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Utilizing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

REQUIRED:
Graduated from accredited School of Nursing
BLS, ACLS
1 year minimum recent Emergency RN experience.
PREFERRED:
Bachelors Degree
