Florida Hospital, named as one of America's Best Hospitals by US News and World Report five years running, is offering 16 week Critical Care Nursing Internship Programs for our Multisystem ICU & PCU's starting October, 2005. RN's with at least one year recent hospital experience are encouraged to apply.

Our Multi-System ICU is a 17-bed unit frequently utilizes hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, and occasionally, intra-aortic balloon therapy. Nurses on this unit care for both medical and surgical patients. Approximately 50% of the admissions to this unit are cardiac.

Our Multi-System Progressive Care Units are never boring or predictable. The acuity of the patients can vary from young adults with cardiac diagnosis, to very high acuity patients with multi-system diagnosis and advanced age. Our PCU units are divided by specialty into three separate units within the hospital.

4th Floor: Brain Attack, Neuro, Syncope, Renal, Surgical and GI
5th Floor: Cardiac, Chest Pain, CHF, Pre/Post Cardiac, Med PCU, Diabetes
6th Floor: Pulmonary, Med PCU, Asthma, COPD, Respiratory failure, Pulmonary Edema

Job Description: Must have 1 year recent Med/Surg hospital experience and BLS.
