Job Description:
Shift: Full Time, Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30 pm.
The WOCN is a Registered Nurse who provides acute and rehabilitative patient care for people with urinary and fecal diversions, pressure ulcers, fistulas, wounds, drains, and incontinence. The role of the WOCN entails education, consultation, advocacy, change agent, research, and administrative duties. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Current knowledge in wounds, ostomies, and continence.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with patients, staff, and peers.
Ability to work with people of various backgrounds.
Ability to work under stress and deadlines.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
· Computer skills, including Microsoft office

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Current certification in Wounds, Ostomies, and Continence (CWOCN).
