Job/Unit Description:
Pediatric department. Minimum of 1-3 years pediatric RN experience preferred. Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Florida.

Our Pediatric Programs are supported by a full range of disciplines, including a full team of Pediatric Physicians and Sub-specialists, Pediatric Intensives, Child Life Specialists, Recreation Therapists, Pediatric Pharmacists, Case Management, Social Services, and Respiratory Therapists who work together as a team to restore the child to the highest possible level of health. Our medical professionals believe in providing a traumatic care and involve the family in every aspect.
The Pediatric Nurse is a registered professional nurse who develops expertise in assessing, planning, implementing and re-evaluating the need of the pediatric patient and their families. Utilizing the nursing process, collaborates with physician in providing the delivery of safe, quality health care while recognizing physical, psychosocial and emotional needs of the patient/family. Encourages family participation in the decision-making processes surrounding the direction followed in the delivery of the service to the patient/client. Maintains skill level by utilizing current pediatric trends and practices, while endorsing the Florida Hospital philosophy of family centered care.
