Experience Requirements:
- At least one year Critical Care or gastroenterological experience
- Skilled in providing adult and geriatric patient care
Education/Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Florida RN nursing license
- Clinical Transplant Certification by the American Board of Transplant Certification (ABTC) within one year of employment.
- CPR (BLS)
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in stressful environment
- Decision-making aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Diplomacy in dealing with different levels of personnel
- Clear, concise written and oral communication skills
- Effective time management
- Basic computer skills
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Coordinating the movement of patients through all phases of the transplantation process.
- Patient Education pre- and post-transplant
- Conducting professional as well as public education presentations on the subject of transplantation
- Coordinate the recipient evaluations
- Following the post-transplant patients in the hospital and clinic setting
- Maintain good working relationship with Gastroenterologists in our service area in order to promote increased patient referrals.
