GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision the Emergency Transfer Center RN will be responsible for the flow process involved in, call taking, facilitating acceptance and triage of calls though the transfer center and dispatch. Works jointly with the Flight RN, in decisions of triage, department transfer processes and initiation of hospital and physician chain of command. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Critical Care Nursing
• Basic computer skills
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
Knowledge in emergency care of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the Emergency Department/Critical Care (CVICU/ICU/CL/CCU/NICU).
• Minimum of 5 years of patient care.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• BSN
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
• Current active license in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
