Responsible for the delivery of safe, therapeutic and cost effective nursing care. Uses the nursing skills of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for the following patient care populations: geriatrics, adult, adolescent and pediatric. Primary function is the delivery of competent, compassionate and cost effective nursing care.
Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing. Current registration with Florida State Board of Examiners or licensed in another state awaiting results of Florida registration. Completion of a Basic and Advance EKG program required. Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. A current Advanced Life Support card is preferred. Demonstrates good use of the English language in the verbal and written form. Must have previous experience in Endoscopy or a minimum of 1 current year of experience in an Endoscopy dept with Background of at least one year medical surgical floor and 1 year critical care. Call is required one weekday a week 4:30p to 7am, weekend is 24 hour call Sat and Sun 7am till 7am. Will be floated to other surgical service departments as needed.
