The Cath lab RN performs a wide range of technical skills, which are utilized during a variety of cardiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. The Cath lab RN needs to be proficient in all aspects of angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring consistent with the policies and procedures of the Cardiology Department and hospital administration. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Basic and advanced ECG course
- Current ACLS license required when assisting with Phase II/III cardiac rehab
- Able to operate all equipment in various cath lab areas
- Able to set up and calculate various medications with different routes of administration.
- Able to perform all aspects of recording, scrubbing, and monitoring
- Current RN license
- 1 year hospital cardiac nursing experience
- BSN preferred
