The Home Dialysis RN, under the supervision of the Home Dialysis Clinical Coordinator, is responsible for providing and supervising Home Hemodialysis care and treatment, develops nursing care plans involving assessment, implementation, evaluation, training and education; communicates with the physician and other members of the healthcare team to interpret, adjust and complete patient care plans and assists in research studies. The RN is responsible for assisting and supporting the unit management team in achieving quality, patient satisfaction, staff development, business management, employee satisfaction, teamwork and culture. Provides safe, effective delivery of age-specific patient care as overseen by the unit Medical Director in compliance with the standards outlined in the policy/procedure manual, as well as regulation set forth by the hospital, state and federal agencies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

  • Full Time
  • 12 hour shifts
  • Days
  • Every other Weekend required
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Demonstrates ability to work with any patient or staff, regardless of race, gender, disease process, lifestyle, religious or cultural beliefs or treatment.
· Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and in writing, utilizing all available internal and external methods e.g., wireless, fax, voicemail, email.
· Flexibility in prioritization and ability to multitask.
· Critical thinking/problem solving skills.
· Interpersonal skills that promote teamwork.
· Ability to function in a stressful, fast paced environment.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
· ACLS
· Computer knowledge and skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Graduate of school of nursing
· BSN
· Minimum 2 years Dialysis Experience (acute or chronic setting)
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· ICU/CCU experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
· Registered Professional Nurse
· CPR Certification
PREFERRED LICENSURE OR REGISTRATION:
· CNN
· Valid Florida Drivers License
