RN - Chest Pain Observation Unit Days

POSITION SPECIFICS:
Patients Cared For:
u Low to moderate and moderate to high-risk chest pain patients
u Post diagnostic catheterization and post EPS patient
Cardiac patients awaiting an inpatient bed
Special Therapies:
u 12 Lead ECG
u Point Of Care Testing (IStat Troponin)
Must be able to discontinue and manage arterial lines
Health Care Team Members:
u Assistant Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse
u RN ( 2 years experienced)
u Health Unit Coordinator
u Monitor Tech
u Patient Care Techs
u Education Specialist
u Physician Medical Director
Ratio:
u 1:4, 1:5 when in overcapacity
Special Requirements: Our census is sensitive to the changes in the ED. We require our team to be On-Call to be able to respond to these fluctuations in census.
PCU level experience required
ACLS Certification
Able to detect changes in 12 Lead ECG
