Clinical Staffing Resources (CSR) is Florida Hospital’s internal float pool. CSR provides supplemental staffing for Medical Surgical, Critical Care, ED and various ancillary services at Florida Hospital. The department offers multiple experiences and benefits for seasoned nurses who can adapt quickly and are dedicated to providing excellence in patient care. This position will also require to cover as part of the Rapid Response Team when necessary.

The RN is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Utilizing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

SHIFT: Three 12 hour shifts per week. 7pm-7am.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Medical Surgical and/or OB experience
  • BLS Certification

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Triage and respond to request from clinicians
  • Provide assistance to support clinicians in resolving clinical issues
  • Assessment of the patient; call other members as needed
  • Recommendation and coordination of interventions to stabilize clinical status using established protocol
  • Assistance with communication among those involved in the patient's care, including the family and physicians; provide education and support to those involved in the patient's care.
  • Communicate and assist with house supervisor if transfer to higher level of care is needed
  • Work with assigned staff nurse and charge nurse and update with findings and intervention by documenting assessments and interventions as a PIER note.
